On Thursday, March 6th, please join us for Pioneering Women’s Raising The Barre: An inspiring professional development event for Toronto women, held at Canada’s National Ballet School, a truly gorgeous venue.

Pioneering Women was founded in 2010 as a resource to support women working in the Canadian Motion Picture Industry. The group has expanded to other like-minded industries with the ultimate objective to address concerns that may restrict women’s personal and professional growth.

Raising The Barre will specifically focus on the importance of mentorship and will include a discussion with luminaries Mavis Staines, Artistic Director and CEO of Canada’s National Ballet School (the mentor) and Emily Molnar, Artistic Director and Choreographer of Ballet BC (the mentee). Not only will you have the opportunity to learn from these creative leaders but guests will also be treated to a magical performance by talented young students.

Following, everyone is welcome to mingle and network at the cocktail party portion of evening. Who knows, maybe you’ll walk out with the digits of your future mentor / mentee! (Did we mention there was an optional movement class too? No experience or tutu required.)
