Doesn’t a concert under the stars sound like the perfect way to spend a summer evening? This June and July you can enjoy live music from a super cool lineup of Toronto artists — and it’s all happening outdoors in High Park.

The Dream in High Park Summer Music Festival, presented by Canadian Stage, kicks off on June 30. These six magical nights of live music will unfold at the High Park Amphitheatre, a perfect place to escape from the bustle of the city.

Canada’s R&B and Soul queen, Jully Black, will be taking the stage on July 9. Other headlining artists include Ron Sexsmith, Dan Mangan, Martha Wainwright, Hawksley Workman and KUNÉ, as well as performances by Terra Lightfoot, Beau Dixon and Barzin.

Executive Director Monica Esteves explains how last year’s three-day concert series in High Park was such a success. “Last summer, thousands of people were fortunate to experience the utterly magical performances of Polaris Prize-winner Jeremy Dutcher and many other equally extraordinary musicians.  In those moments, we collectively discovered how perfect the High Park Amphitheatre is for live music – with its spectacular sound and picturesque setting under the stars.”

This year, with expanded programming over two weeks, many more will be able to soak in performances from the heart of High Park, surrounded by nature.

We’re thrilled to see festivals and outdoor arts events returning to the city this summer, whether it’s movie nights in the park, outdoor photography exhibits, or bustling street festivals — these are exactly the rejuvenating experiences we all need right now.

The Dream in High Park Summer Music Festival is happening from June 30 to July 14. Tickets are on sale now!
