8:30pm. ‘American: The Bill Hicks Story’ screening @ Blue Sunshine Psychotronic Film Centre, 3660 St-Laurent, 3rd floor. Blue Sunshine presents an animated documentary of the life and comedy of comic, satirist and musician Bill Hicks. His personal collection of videos and photographs act as the launch pad for this UK film. Until 10:30pm.

6pm Dawn of the Dead Screening @ Terrasse St-Ambroise, 5080 St-Ambroise. The Grindhouse Crew (formerly known as Grindhouse Wednesdays) present their first outdoor event, which includes a screening of George A. Romero’s 1978 zombie-thriller ‘Dawn of the Dead’, zombie-themed improv, vinyl tunes and more. Until the wee hours. $10.

8:30pm. The United Nations of Comedy @ Comedyworks, 1238 Bishop. Comics from varying cultural backgrounds unite (this is why we love Montreal’s comedy scene) for the United Nations of Comedy, featuring Massimo, Eman (worth attending if only for her, she is so great), Jeff Schouela and more!
