On a beautiful, breezy June night, we congregated at Evergreen Brick Works for the annual Scrubs in the City fundraiser. This year’s theme was Roman Holiday, and guests took the dress code seriously. Gucci, Versace, Pucci, Prada Ferragamo: the beloved designers were spotted on everyone from the Beckerman twins to the fashion-lovin’ ladies from Real Housewives of Toronto. But a necktie and crisp white blouse worked wonders, too.

Always a gorgeous, fun-filled bash with a whole lotta city pride, Scrubs in the City is important for maintaining and growing SickKids, and this year’s event was no exception: $820,000 was raised to re-imagine our SickKids campus! The funds will support the Re-imagine Our Campus pillar of the SickKids VS Limits campaign, helping to build brand-new clinical facilities designed to accommodate cutting-edge best practices and technology, attract world-class medical leaders, and provide the best comfort and care to children and their families.

Over the past seventeen years, Scrubs has raised over $5.7M for various high-priority needs of the hospital. So to the formidable committee, and to all of you who came, BRAVO! BELLISSIMO!
