Want to join the fight toward ending gender bias but not sure how to get involved?
Queen’s for Critical Empowerment, a new organization at Queen’s University, invites you to attend their very first cocktail hour fundraiser.
With a focus on gender empowerment, QFCE breaks through the perception of women being one homogeneous group with the understanding that women are a diverse group of individuals with varied barriers and access to resources and opportunities to success.
This year’s theme is “Divergence,” highlighting the differences in women as a whole, incorporating intersectionality in standards of women versus men, and presenting how individual journeys have been hindered or benefited by diverse identity tags.
This inaugural fundraising event takes place Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Pretty Ugly Bar. Enjoy premium cocktails (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) created by the talented mixologists and some delicious food at one of Toronto’s premium Mezcal-based bars! By attending, you will be supporting QFCE’s educational outreach initiatives targeting young girls between the ages of 8 to 14, as well as QFCE’s inaugural conference.
ENTRANCE IS FREE.
