It’s that time of year when pop-ups be popping like a bag of Jiffy Pop. While they are bountiful around the city, some pop-ups are much better than others, and for vintage lovers, The Symmetric at Dundas West’s Milk Glass Studio is not to be missed.

Shanan Kurtz, founder of The Symmetric vintage collection and its namesake blog, is the organizer of this delightful holiday pop-up.

From Brooklyn to Queen West to a field in Collingwood, culture and landscape have shaped Shanan’s work as an artist, designer, and vintage purveyor. Huge fans of her aesthetic and style philosophy, we had Shanan take over our Instagram recently to show us her secret “girl-cave” in the country where she puts a modern twist on old-timey looks. (You gotta see what she wears to feed the chickens.)

Beyond The Symmetric, this must-do holiday pop-up also features Life of Manek, beautiful re-purposed vintage fur accessories and original design by west-end fashion queen Nicole Manek, as well as handpicked vintage from beloved local stylist and Costume Designer Kristin Somborac, and terrariums from Stamen and Pistil Botanicals.

Swing by to find a new old beauty for your collection, play dress-up, and mingle with three style makers who move counter-current with striking elegance.

The Symmetric x Kristin Somborac Vintage Pop-Up Shop takes place Saturday December 10th from noon to 9PM at Milk Glass (1247 Dundas St. W. between Ossington + Dovercourt).
