Most of you probably associate Enza Anderson with her highly successful and crafty campaign for mayor of Toronto in 2000 or her numerous local articles about the culture and style of the city. Fortunately I don’t have to look much further than my daily neighbourhood Starbucks run which includes seeing, or rather hearing, Enza walking into the coffee shop in her high heels first thing in the morning looking elegant and put together. I then shyly look down at my own ripped up sweatpants as I comb my fingers through a mop of yet-to-be-brushed hair all while I marvel at Enza’s dedication.

But there’s way more to Enza Anderson than looking the part of a successful political activist and media personality, in a fact, she’s running for City Councillor for Ward 27 Toronto Centre-Rosedale in the upcoming election!

Her platform includes “cleaning up our parks and public spaces,” while “promoting our city’s cultural diversity to ensure ongoing cultural development and funding, as well as making City Hall “more accessible and people friendly.”

So if you like what you’re seeing, be sure to check out “Enza Anderson’s Cut-A-Thon Fundraiser” on August 22nd at 1200 Bay Street (at Bloor Street West) Suite 503 between noon and 4 pm.

“The haircutting marathon symbolizes of one of Anderson’s stated goals as city councilor: to cut waste and make City Hall run more efficiently.”

Make-overs are being done by the Peter Anthony Salon, and a $50 contribution to the campaign gets you a cut by a stylist from this top salon AND a campaign contribution rebate of $37.50. Not a steep price to pay for a good deed and a great cut!

To RSVP (not required, but appreciated) to the event, please email enza@enzaanderson.ca.
