Featuring Saint James, Apartmento Mag, Curiosities by The Chief Salvage Co., Diner Journal, Brooklyn Diaries, Stars & Perfect Tens, limited edition totes by Paul Watling and Hanna Hur, and more + good drinks and eats all day long including coffee by The Common, surprises by Brockton General, grilled cheese, spiked lemonade and iced tea, baked treats and more. 10 pm Nasty Nate @ Camp 4, 1173 Dundas St. W. DJ Nasty Nate presents his unashamedly indie rock mp3rizzle collection. Get set to enjoy the tunes of Spoon, Yeasayer, Ariel Pink, BreakBot, Best Coast, Other Lives, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, Baths, Lower Dens, No Age, Savage Garden and a whole bunch of other bands you’ve never heard of.

5 pm “Germination” Opening Reception @ Communication Art Gallery, 209 Harbord St. Drawings, installation, paintings and mixed-media works by artist Stephen Séguin. Exhibition runs July 8th-31st.  

7 pm “The Glass Room” Opening Reception @ The Gladstone Art Bar, 1214 Queen St. W. An exhibition of work by Toronto artists Karen Crawford, Laine Groeneweg, Xris Kukiel and Franklin Reeves. “Through drawing, painting and printmaking they explore their uniqueness as well as their commonalities. The collection of works delves into the world of reality, imagination and the spaces in between.” Until 10 pm. Exhibition runs July 7th-12th, 12-5 pm daily.

10 pm One Night to End Them All: Nirvana vs. Pearl Jam Tribute Night @ Rancho Relaxo, 300 College St. Team Nirvana consists of The Motherlode, Wanderbirds and Clouds That Look Like Nirvana while Team Pearl Jam consists of Mr. Nanny, Paint and The Connoisseurs of Porn! They’ll be alternating between Pearl Jam and Nirvana acts all night long with acts doing approximately 3-5 songs. In the end, the audience and their enthusiasm for the acts will choose the winners. $7.

11:30 am Jennifer Hudson Project Lemonade Stand @ gallerywest, 1332 Queen St. W. “The Jennifer Hudson Project is a one year endeavor; a process oriented video blog created by Evan Tyler. Between June 2011-June 2012, the artist will perform various acts which may or may or not bring him closer to his goal of being friends with singer/actress Jennifer Hudson.” Join Evan and friends for fresh-squeezed lemonade and live remixes of Jennifer Hudson’s music. All funds raised from the lemonade sale will be used to buy nice clothes and fly back and forth between Toronto and Chicago. Until 3 pm.  

1 pm Explore Your City: Culinary/Cultural Neighbourhood Tours @ Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queen’s Quay W. Talk, tour and taste your way through the city’s culinary hot spots, markets and neighbourhoods. Sample food from local restaurants and discover the streets around them. 10 pm Cadence Weapon DJ Set @ Unlovable, 1415-B Dundas St. W. Cadence Weapon will be playing everything. He will be wearing a colourful shirt. He might even be hung over.
