Cherry Jubilee Violin Power is a string orchestra ranging from ten year olds to graduate students. With no conductor, the performance promises to be captivating and full of twists. Stop by the CBC building to witness this musical portion of the Cherry Blossom Festival for only $10.

The Vancouver Police Museum is hosting a Bootlegger Ball at the Biltmore to celebrate the anniversary of its popular Sins of the City walking tour. They’re also hoping to raise a few bucks in the process! Come dressed in your best prohibition attire and get ready for a little vaudeville, burlesque and booze.

East Van Soul Club is back at the Waldorf this Friday. Put on your boogie shoes and dance the night away at one of Vancouver’s favorite nights.

The finalists of theCrazy 8s festival will debut their short films this Saturday at the Vogue Theatre. These ballsy artists were given $800 and 8 days to complete a five minute short. Grab a ticket and get ready for some mind-blowing film and a wicked after-party at Science World.

The Rio’s midnight movie this Friday is Donnie Darko. If you’re not in a dancing mood, grab a few friends (and beers) and watch this cult classic.

Food and Drank
