On Wednesday, February 8th, in collaboration with Montreal Fashion Week, the McCord Museum (690 Sherbrooke West) will host an evening of fashion on film.

This dazzling double feature honours the work of Cristobal Balenciaga and Hubert de Givenchy. The McCord will host cocktail (half)hour between the two screenings, allowing you toast these masters of design and while taking in the museum’s Costume and Textiles collection.

Here’s how the evening will run:

6:30pm – Film Screening 1 – Cristobal Balenciaga – Endurance in an Ephemeral World with an introduction by Cynthia Cooper, Curator, Costume and Textiles Collection, McCord Museum. (Director – Oskar Tejedor, 52’, 2010)

7:45pm – Cocktail and words of welcome by Cynthia Cooper.

8:15pm – Film Screening 2 – Monsieur Hubert de Givenchy with an introduction by Cynthia Cooper. (Director – Karim Zeriahen, 50’, 2010).
