In honour of the centennial of Nelson Mandela’s birth, the riveting and vivacious Soweto Gospel Choir is returning to Toronto for two performances on November 23 & 24 at the George Weston Recital Hall. This is one show you WILL NOT WANT TO MISS!

Described by The New York Times as “meticulous and unstoppable…spirited and spectacular,” the Grammy and Emmy Award-winning group has embarked on a North American tour in support of Freedom, their most recent recording that features a collection of songs from South Africa and beyond, marking Nelson Mandela’s hundredth birthday.

Beyond collaborating with such notable artists as Bono and U2, Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Aretha Franklin, Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder and Kirk Franklin, the Soweto Gospel Choir has inspired fans around the world with their universal message of love, unity and hope, along with their mesmerizing showmanship and awe-inspiring performances.
