July 9th-10th Maker Extravaganza @ Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge St. Over 100 of the city’s most creative people and their projects gather together at the Toronto Reference Library to show off what they’ve been working on. The event is FREE to attend, but it’s recommended that you RSVP in advance.

July 9th-10th T.O. Food Fest @ 5183 Sheppard Ave. E. Satisfy your hungry at the fifth annual T.O. Food Fest! This year’s event promises to be the biggest and tastiest yet!

WEDNESDAY

7 pm Music Bingo @ The Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. W. A FREE weekly event combining the love of music with the traditional bingo format. Each player receives a Music Bingo card which consists of an assortment of songs. Instead of calling out numbers, they play the music! Singing along encouraged.

8 pm Meow Meow: A Queer Social @ Holy Oak, 1241 Bloor St. W. This isn’t a loud dance party. It’s a change of pace, and a chance to converse. Meant for queers to meet, hang, and conspire with other queers (awesome allies are welcome too)!

10 pm Smiths Is Dead @ Unlovable, 1415-B Dundas St. W. Join Michael K Newton and Scott Wade for a one-off return of this party. All and only the Smiths and Morrissey all evening.

7 pm Pop Culture Trivia @ The Ossington, 61 Ossington Ave. A new trivia night with the emphasis on entertainment (movies, TV, music). This is the payoff for all the television you’ve been watching. Prizes and cheap drinks all night!

9 pm Twilight Cocktail Party @ The Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. W. After a long, dreary winter, warm weather has finally arrived, and with it, the easy breezy freedom of summer. To celebrate, the Gladstone is transforming the Ballroom into a twilight paradise with the help of astroturf grass covering the dance floor, teacup libations, snow cone cocktails, patio string lights, and comfy rustic decor.
