We drank JD and coke from a can, we tested out the whiskey sours on offer, swiveled our straw in a fizzy Jack and ginger and, like real hard ass troopers, pummeled back shot after shot.

Last night we celebrated Jack Daniel’s 160th Birthday in the Drake Lounge and our booze breath alone was enough to raise his spirit from the grave. But drinking is not all we did – we also traded spectacles with Kris Holden-Ried, or the dapper Sir. William Compton whose been making our lips wet for years on the sexy historic drama, Tudors. While he was cleaning the smudges from our glasses, he talked about making out with a succubus and then backed that up with some orgasmic cries. It was hot and had something to do with his new show Lost Girl, we’d explain more but were having difficulty following and, truly, couldn’t see properly wearing his weak prescription glasses. He wasn’t the only hot male celebrity whooping it up for dear ol’ Jack, we also chatted with Sean Dalton and Colin MacDonald of The Trews.

Instead of putting our glasses on, Dalton wanted to take his shirt off. We can only conclude that when Jack Daniel’s is involved, people indulge in bizarre ice-breakers. Perhaps inspired by the attendance of HOK from So You Think You Can Dance Canada, we ended the night with a booty bouncin’ dance-off on Queen St with party girl, publicist, Esther Garnick. Happy Birthday Jack – if you were around, we’d give you a celebratory spank. BOTTOMS UP!
