5 minutes / SUPER easy / FREE

This project is very quick and can easily add some colour to a room. I rent my apartment and am sadly not allowed to paint the beige coloured walls, but I LOVE colour. Anyway this project is incredibly easy and most importantly CoLoUrFuL!

Supplies:

  • Paint chips (free from any paint store)
  • I chose paint chips that were all in the red spectrum but different shades of red, you can do this with any colour combination that you wish!
  • Scissors
  • Yarn/rope/ribbon
  • Hole punch (I actually just used a tapestry needle to punch holes, a pen would work too!)

Steps:

  • Cut paint strips so that the words are no longer on the strip (top and side)
  • Cut a triangle shape out of the bottom middle of the strip to create a flag look
  • Add to small holes to the side/tops of the paint strip – be sure to leave room around the holes so that they don’t break when you put the string through!
  • Thread your yarn/rope/ribbon through the holes from the back of the left side, to the front of the right side
  • Space out your flags and hang!
