The Toronto celebration of alternative fashion returns April 22-26 at Daniels Spectrum (585 Dundas St. E.). Theatre, art, photography and, of course, style come together. If you’ve been to [FAT] before, you know that it’s always unexpected, eye-catching and inspiring.

This year, there will be photography like Ellen Snowball’s Lick Me, in which the tongue becomes a metaphor, Hans Withoos’ portraits from his series My Name is Blessing, From Zambia with Love and Patrick Biller’s Persona, in which drag performer Matty tries on ten different faces.

Other highlights include ($ BROKE $), a music video by Malaysian pop artist ZE!, a performance by Jasmine Melrose, installations and music.

And the fashion? There will be 45 runway shows, from some of the best independent and alternative designers out there.
