Around this time of year, summer’s cut-offs and loose tanks give way to fall-wear. Sure, it’s a bummer ditching the bikini for the constraints of a blazer, but then again, the relaxed styles of summer have nothing on crisp fall fashions. Back to school time combined with the autumnal nip means that I’m itching for some new gear.
Mixing vintage with retail wear (like we did at our amazing fall fashion shoot) is a great way to make a look your own. Ideally, I’d love to spend hours rifling through piles of stained Hawaiian shirts in search for the perfect silk blouse. However, I don’t really have the patience to comb over the offerings at Value Village or the Sally Ann, which means I return from most of my vintage trips empty handed.
Luckily for me, Vintage Pop has brought together twelve of the city’s fiercest vintage hunters to do the legwork for me. The third edition of this popular pop-up event happens this week, from Wednesday September 7th to Saturday September 10th at Off Interart (5143/45 St-Laurent). Flesh out your fall wardrobe with a wide selection of exclusive vintage clothing for men and women, as well as accessories and house wares, featuring one-of-a-kind pieces from the 1920s right up to 90s grunge, and every era in between. Featured vintagers include:
Don’t forget, Vintage Pop is cash only event, so head to the ATM beforehand to avoid heartbreak.
