This COVID summer has forced all of us to explore new ways of relaxing and having fun. If you haven’t already taken a trip to the Toronto Islands, perhaps a reminder that you can rent a stand up paddleboard from Toronto Island SUP, and lazily float around Lake Ontario, will inspire you to do so.

A quick trip on the ferry, or by water taxi, is the first part of this staycation venture that will have you feeling you’re on a little getaway. But once you paddle out a bit, and take in the skyline views, or have a chat with a duck, you’ll really feel like you’ve escaped the city.

Rent one for an afternoon, or sign up for a SUP Yoga class, or even an eco tour.  It’s $30 for the first hour, or if you think this sounds like a promising way to relax in the coming weeks, grab a 5-pack for $120+HST.

The consensus is that time on a SUP will have you breathing a little deeper as you meander slowly along the coast and connect with the water and nature around you. More on that in the vid below.
