Three weeks ago, SodaStream sent us a new SodaStream POWER to test out. Sleek in design, it’s a kitchen piece that you don’t need to hide in a cupboard. Sitting on the counter, catching our eye each time we pass, has proved to be a good thing, as our H2O intake in this house has increased exponentially since receiving.

Beyond drinking water throughout the day, there is something thrilling about pressing the button and seeing the bubbles shoot into the carbonating bottles, especially for our two-year-old, who loves to watch. But what I love most about it, is the classy added touch it brings to our regular family dinner time. In this house, we call it “special water”, and a new tradition has been set wherein every night for dinner, once we’ve set the table, we give the option of water or special water? The special water gets even more special when we start dabbling with SodaStream flavours like Lime Basil, Blackcurrant Lime, Green Apple Cucumber, and so many more choices.

For the next few weeks, I’m going to up my health by water game by combining my new SodaStream daily water ritual with a few visits to Body Blitz: Toronto’s water therapy spa.

The therapeutic water circuit includes the following:

  • Warm Dead Sea salt pool
  • hot Epsom salt pool
  • cold plunge pool
  • eucalyptus steam room
  • infrared sauna

I’ve been a fan since Body Blitz first opened its doors, so much so that entrepreurial sisters Laura and Rena Polley, who founded Body Blitz in 2004, have been featured on Shedoesthecity multiple times. Bringing the age-old (2000+ years old!) water spa to Toronto was a wonderful gift for this city.

I’m looking forward to a month ahead full of water, on the inside and out. Let the spa life commence! At Body Blitz, and in my kitchen.
