January is the perfect month to slow down, take stock and set intentions for the year ahead. In addition to the multitude of promises you resolved to make at midnight on New Year’s Eve, what about finding some peace in 2014? Surely, some help from an internationally renowned Buddhist teacher can’t hurt.

U.K.-based Buddhist teacher Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong is returning to Toronto (she has visited Canada twice each year for the past three years) to present a talk on Wednesday, January 29 2014, entitled “The Mindful Life: Mindfulness for Modern Urban Living”.

The 90-minute talk, open to the public to attend, will focus on living mindfully, by bringing love, compassion and wisdom into everyday activities. The practical talk is totally accessible to all attendees and Gen-la’s practical advice on how to find genuine peace and happiness is perfectly timed.
