Sight & Sound 5 @ Eastern Bloc, 7240 Clark. The fifth edition of the art and technology-based festival Sight & Sound will present over 25 international artists with over 30 projects at Eastern Bloc, a Montreal production and exhibition centre. This year’s theme is the “black market,” which will permeate the festival’s workshops, discussion groups, performances and installations. 8pm. Vicious Circles @ Mainline Theatre, 3997 St-Laurent. A stage-play written by Ben Kalman, “Vicious Circles” tells the life story of Sex Pistols bassist and punk icon Sid Vicious, and his relationships with his band members, girlfriends, and the music industry. “A meta-euphoric and surrealist-psychedelic tale” that runs until May 18. 7pm. EcranMed2 @ Montréal, arts interculturels (MAI), 3680 Jeanne-Mance, suite 103. On the heels of a very successful first edition, the unique EcranMed’s “Screenings from the Mediterranean” second film soirée will feature 24 short films from 12 countries, including Albania, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Spain, Syria and Turkey. OldWig Vintage Sale @ Bain Mathieu, 2915 Ontario. OldWig Vintage hosts a three-day sale at Bain Mathieu, an early twentieth-century bathhouse in Montreal. Shopping, cocktails, music, art, home décor and more will be on offer, with over 30 exhibitors. DJs Frigid, Sagewondah and Chinois will perform on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, respectively.
