The Bentway Block Party is back for a second year!

The day-long celebration will offer fun and entertainment for all ages, including ping pong tables, Double Dutch demonstrations and a free jump session, a colour-by-numbers scavenger hunt, a DIY collage party with multidisciplinary artist Paul Butler, face painting, live music, and food and drink. There will also be an unveiling of a one-of-a-kind installation by award-winning interdisciplinary artist and designer Sean Martindale, whose works often incorporate salvaged goods and live plants while focusing on ecological and social issues.

Headlining the music portion of this year’s Block Party are Keswick indie rockers The Elwins, Hamilton experimental pop group Ellevator, and Toronto indie orchestra Common Deer. Visitors will also be treated to feel-good horn music by The Heavyweight Brass Band and tunes by DJ JayemKayem during the day.

The Block Party is happening this Sunday, July 7, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. underneath the Gardiner Expressway at 250 Fort York Blvd. Admission is free.
