We had a blast year at last year’s inaugural Lucky Ball and this year, the lively fundraising bash will move to Revival, promising an even bigger (perhaps luckier?) night. Happening on St. Patrick’s Day, this open bar and convivial gathering, is the best way to pack in a night of revelry and help Torontonians in need. Did we mention that Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene is DJing? Gurl, that dance floor be packed and sweaty.

Organized by friends and neighbours who care, Lucky Ball raises much needed proceeds for the Fort York Food Bank, located at Dundas and Bathurst. If this is your ‘hood, attending this party and supporting local people and families in need is a a no-brainer.

Who uses the Fort York Food Bank?

  • 1500 people each month
  • 40% are recent immigrants or refugees
  • 15% are children

A typical client survives on $3/day after housing costs and spends 84% of their income on basic expenses. This year, the goal is for 500 guests to attend, which would raise approximately $50,000. Can we do it? YES WE CAN! If we meet our goal then proceeds raised would be able to cover almost 1/3rd of the food bank’s cash operating budget for 2014.

Tickets are $100 and include open bar, sumptuous h’ordeuvres, a way better dance floor than any Irish pub, good will to mankind and one helluva memorable night. Come get lucky with us!
