NXNE Festival

One of Toronto’s biggest music festivals is turning 30, and this year’s lineup has big names hitting the stage. From The Beaches playing a pop-up set to Charlotte Cardin discussing her career at the Billboard Summit, this is an opportunity to see your favourite artists perform and share insights on their chart-topping journeys. The Sound of Our Nation: A Canadian Songbook

Canada’s top musical theatre performers will celebrate the country’s music scene by performing their own renditions of songs by Canadian artists. Expect covers of Joni Mitchell and Divine Brown’s classics along with other favourites straight out of Canada’s songbook. Sand Flight

See eight contemporary dancers perform on top of a 17-foot sand dune in this gripping showcase about the climate crisis. Sand Flight, by Norwegian choreographers Ingri Fiksdal and Jonas Corell Petersen, will transform a city space into an open stage for a bigger purpose. The dance performance will explore our constantly shifting relationships with the world amid global warming, featuring original music by a local multi-generational choir. More info.

ROM After Dark Summer Solstice
