6:15 p.m. Sip and Sail Cocktail Cruise @ Mariposa Cruises, 207 Queen’s Quay W. Mariposa Cruises hosts Sip n’ Sails (basically happy-hour on the water), a two-hour cocktail cruise through the city’s waterways! As well as a DJ spinning tunes, there will be appetizers, and a variety of wine, beer, and specialty cocktails available for purchase, all while sailing by Toronto’s iconic skyline at sunset. Boarding begins at 6:15 p.m., tickets are available online.

7 pm Hard Twist 10: Memory Opening Reception @ The Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. W. The 10th annual edition of the Gladstone Hotel’s signature show of textile-based art explores the many and complex relationships between cloth and memory. Hard Twist has become an important annual event within the Canadian textile art community as well as being a signature event for the Gladstone. Until 10 pm. Exhibition runs until December 27th in the 3rd and 4th floor galleries.

9 pm TIFF 2015: Drake House Party @ The Drake Hotel, 1150 Queen St. W.
