Saturday/Sunday- Live in Squamish is happening this long weekend. Lots of great bands playing- Said the Whale, Tokyo Police Club, The Decemberists, Bad Religion, Mother Mother, amongst others. Sunday- Megaphone Magazine presents one last hurrah for summer with a block party in Victory Square from 2-9pm. Monday – The UBC Opera Ensemble and Members of Vancouver Opera Orchestra fill the Bard Mainstage tent @ 1 pm and 7pm Sept 6TH in Vanier Park. They are performing Puccini’s passionate La Bohème with the beach as their backdrop. Such a unique way to experience your last weekend of beach weather! Tix are $35

Markets/Fairs
Thursday – From 4:30-7pm this Thursday get some good eats for the weekend at the Kits Growers Market @ 7TH and Vine. Backyard growers, community gardeners and urban farmers will be selling their end of summer produce. www.kitshouse.org

Monday – Burnaby Village Museum hosts a fall fair featuring all things we look forward to as summer ends. Apple peeling, Harvest Scavenger Hunts, Baking competitions, games and entertainment – it will all be happening at 6501 Deer Lake Ave.

Saturday/Sunday/Monday – Taiwanfest is on all weekend from 12:00pm -10pm @ the Seymour and Dunsmuir area. Shows range from $38 – $128 and free events featuring food, history, fashion and film all to do with Taiwanese culture.
