It’s smart, it’s Swedish and it’s gritty. I doubt you will say no.

We all know that Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series is one major badass and style icon for our generation. For David Fincher’s American remake of the film, H&M will be launching a capsule collection inspired by the anti-heroine herself. Swedish fashion and film forces merge together to take over Hollywood with a brilliant outcome.

Costume designer Trish Summerville introduces 30 pieces that capture Salander’s dark, independent urban character. Leather jackets and pants, torn jeans and slouchy hoodies, and deconstructed items are designed with a cool palette of black, asphalt grey and burgundy. Maybe we’ll see some temporary Dragon tat’s for sale, too?

Each piece is undeniably Lisbeth Salander with a touch of Alexander Wang. Lived-in, heavily accessorized and protective, each piece of clothing represents her ferocious attitude. Salander is a tough, strong role model for women to look up to. To see a modern collection dedicated to her essence is admirable and surprising.

So, who’s going to rough up their hairdo for a piece of this fantastic capsule collection?

Trish Summerville for H&M debuts at Colette in Paris on November 28th and will then launch on December 14th in select H&M Divided departments in 180 stores worldwide and online.
