An imperfect life guide for women

The Headband Scene

by Shanelle Kaul
Whether you’re going for a couture fashion statement or a simple summer accessory, fun and flirty headbands are here to stay! Stars like Nicole Richie, Helena Christensen, and Mischa Barton are only a few fab gals seen sporting them. They’re an effortless addition to any look, and can make an old outfit look new in just seconds. For a day at work or a night out on the town, these trendy headbands are the hallmark of any diva.

Jennifer Behr, hair accessory extraordinaire, is Hollywood’s go-to girl for hand-made headpieces. Her collection features sophisticated crown-like headbands for both seasonal and bridal wear, priced anywhere from $68 to $675. Check out Jennifer Bher’s entire collection of hair accessories.

Style Tip: Can’t afford high fashion headbands? Think again. It’s fun and easy to get similar looks without breaking the bank. Try jazzing up a simple American Apparel headband. Or grab a fabulous, oversized, cream flower pin from H&M and attach it to a veil on your very own. Not only will you save money, but you can be assured that your accessory is unique and fit to your wardrobe!

@anonymous agreed, this is a horrible fad. ladies, if you don't like the sweaty-hair-plastered-to-your-forehead look, leave the headbands at home.

Horrible horrible accessory. Even when it's made to look good in photos, it never looks good in real life. Hair always ends up bunching up on top, then when you take the headband off because you have to keep adjusting it (and people keep telling you it looks stupid,) you'll have a kink in your hair! Don't fall for the hype - SKIP THIS TREND, or regret it in puffy-kinked-hair photos of the future!
