7 pm New Years Eve Take 2: A Party for the Rest of Us @ 1602, 1602 Dundas St. W. New Year’s for those industry types or just NYE haters. Complimentary Presecco at midnight and a count down prior, mixed with a few Jamesons and Jagers throughout the night. No line, no waiting for taxis, no inflated expectations. Just fun with friends and those in the know.

10 pm Sha Na Na @ The Red Light, 1185 Dundas St. W. DJ Brittney (one half of the Bangs & Blush duo) plays jukebox hits and makeout songs all night long.

8 pm Liquid Karaoke @ Bambi’s, 1265 Dundas St. W. Colin Bergh, James McDonough, Nadia Belerique, and Jeff Hayward are your hosts. $3 Egg Nog (everything must go!) + $4 Jameson and $5.50 pints before midnight.

7 pm “Issue 1: A Comic Themed Art Show”  Opening Reception @ #Hashtag Gallery, 801 Dundas St. W. Check out some of your favourite characters and perhaps a few new ones too from five of Toronto’s top comic artists! Until 11:30 pm. Exhibition runs until January 17th.

10 pm The Quiet Storm @ The Red Light, 1185 Dundas St. W. DJ Andy Capp plays four hours of melodically soulful music that provides an intimate, laid-back mood tailor-made for late-night listening and a welcome end to the stresses of the workday.

Tribal girl synth and classical harp hip-hop covers with performances by Fin, Johanna Wienholts, and Petra Glynt + sound by Chrissy of Tenderness and DJing by Deyla. SUNDAY

12 pm The Brewer’s Backyard @ Evergreen Brickworks, 550 Bayview Ave. A celebration of strong, winter warmer-style ales! Featuring a slate of six Ontario craft brewers, each bringing rare, unique, and potent beers including imperial stouts, baltic porters, oak aged ales, and black IPAs. Breweries in attendance include Great Lakes, Nickel Brook, Indie Alehouse, Amsterdam, Cheshire Valley, and Grand River. There will also be delicious Hawaiian street food from Big E’s Grinds. Free admission, all ages, pay for food and beer at the event. Until 4 pm.
