Encompassing a variety of acts that deviate slightly from the traditional Burlesque performance, Montreal’s Burlesque Festival – from Thursday, September 27 to Saturday, September 29, 2012 – will include the classic striptease, modern dance, comedy cabaret and theatrical performances by a plethora of beauties (mainly female, but also some males!) from across Canada.

If you’ve never witnessed the glamour of a live burlesque show, this is your golden opportunity – Club Soda (1225 St-Laurent) will host three evenings of on-stage (and off-stage, depending on your mood/costume) debauchery. In all honesty, this is actually your one chance to haul out that ball gown/corset/pearl necklace/whichever sexy or glamorous clothing item(s) you secretly wish you had reason to wear on a much more regular basis. Curl your hair, slip on your highest heels and silkiest gloves, and grab the brightest shade of lipstick you possess – being in character along with the performers is half the fun!

The Festival will be hosted by Countess Scarlett James and Montreal’s Burlesque Productions, and will include dozens of dancers over three evenings, including a special Saturday Midnight Show.

Tickets begin at $44.50 (multi-night ticket packages are available) and can be purchased online or at the door.
