Staff Benda Bilili + Wesli @ Theatre Rialto, 5723 Avenue du Parc. Rumba/R&B/Reggae/Percussive group Staff Benda Bilili from the Democratic Republic of the Congo bring their incredible live show to the Rialto. The band (whose name translates from Lingala into “Look beyond appearances,”) has already far surpassed their ambition of being “Africa’s best disabled band” (four band members are paraplegic and move around on customized tricycles). Their 2009 album, “Très Très Fort” earned them accolades such as the World Music Expo Artist of the year. Their much-anticipated new album, “Bouger le Monde,” was released last month to rave reviews. With Montreal multi-instrumentalist Wesli. Can’t miss. Tickets $30.
