In the face of escalating violence at Standing Rock, protesters have remained strong. Despite the use of water cannons, tear gas, and concussion grenades in below-freezing temperatures, these individuals continue to fight a pipeline that will their endanger their water and sacred land.

The Standing Rock Medic and Healer Council released this statement calling for the water cannons to stop. “As medical professionals, we are concerned for the real risk of loss of life due to severe hypothermia under these conditions.”

We want to help them in their fight for environmental sustainability. Please bring the following emergency care items to Xpace Cultural Centre (2-303 Lansdowne Ave) until November 26th:

  • Wool socks
  • Wool blankets
  • Space blankets
  • Hand warmers
  • Suturing kits
  • Mittens and gloves

On Tuesday November 29, 2016, Xpace will ship the supplies to the Standing Rock Medic and Healer Council. If you want to ship items yourself via UPS or Fed Ex, please send to 220 E. Rosser Ave. 1251, Bismark, ND, 58502. You can also donate to the Standing Rock Medics.
