For the uninitiated, the Queen’s Plate is a whole lot more than a horse race. The 157th annual Queen’s Plate is coming to Woodbine Racetrack on July 3. Want in on this extravagant piece of Toronto history?

Hit up the red carpet with jaunty hats, polka dots, stripes and prints. Place your bets with the help of a Basics of Betting primer at the Hats & Horseshoes Party, and sip champagne on the grass while playing croquet, horseshoes or bocce ball. Grab a bite at one of dozens of food trucks (inc. Heirloom, Meltdown Cheesery, feasTO, and more), and enjoy live music by Hedley, Matthew Good, The Strumbellas, Emerson Street Rhythm Band, Andrew Hyatt, The Pick Brothers Band and River Town Saints.

Did we mention there will also be a horse race? The party starts at noon. Get tickets here.
