Turns out reality television hasn’t covered every parameter of beautiful, rich 20-somethings gallivanting about town – so behold Jaclife, a new Slice.ca webisode-series about Toronto socialite Jaclyn Genovese.

Since I myself am a guilty viewer of reality television shows about beautiful, rich 20-somethings gallivanting about town, I of course had to check out the pilot episode that premiered this week, where I was introduced to Jaclyn and her entourage of super good-looking BFFs.

The brief pilot gives a glimpse of Jaclyn’s daily routine – eating cereal in her extravagant loft, vacuuming the carpet in her Queen West boutique Jacflash, and hitting up all the city’s hotspots at night.

Her life may sound fabulous, but Jaclyn wants viewers to know that she’s really just a regular person who happens to have lots of money, and it turns out the poor thing can’t even indulge in life’s finer pleasures.

“Champagne? I’m actually allergic. Caviar? No thank you, I’m vegetarian,” she says.

Judging by the episode, the show will feature plenty of tears and hugging in the dim light of clubs, drama at the boutique, Lady Gaga face paint and more.
