Back in February it was announced that denim lifestyle brand 7 For All Mankind would be working with actor/writer/NYU professor/Daniel-Desario-for-always James Franco to create a series of short films for its SS 2012 campaign. Episode 6, titled “Love in the Old Days” has just been released, featuring tanned, waifish hipsters making out, taking off their clothes and generally being young, wild and free in a convertible as it drives down the Los Angeles Pacific Coast Highway. My 7’s always put me in the mood for reckless driving, so the video’s pretty spot on, I think. Conceived and directed by Franco and featuring a song with lyrics written by – who else? – Franco, the video is part of a series that will eventually culminate in a full-length feature film to be released in May.

The videos feature a cast of actors, models, artists and musicians like Henry Hopper (son of Dennis) and Lily Donaldson and are intended to reflect the denim brand’s California roots and cool aesthetic and embody the laid-back West Coast vibe.

Absolutely nothing happens in the video, aside from what’s described above; we just thought it might be nice to take a few moments and watch life from James Franco’s smouldering eyes and maybe get inspired for summer with this carefree, sunny scene.
