You may have noticed Kim Cattrall’s face popping up more and more these days, and not only on promo ads for the upcoming Sex and the City sequel. Cattrall is representing the 2010 Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) campaign, advertising the sale of simple white t shirts with the iconic breast health target on them. All proceeds go to Rethink Breast Cancer, a national volunteer driven charity with bold campaigns.

The fashion industry’s response to breast cancer teamed up with Joe Fresh starting on May 1st for the simple yet powerful awareness campaign for breast cancer. The white cotton t shirts are for sale for about the same price as a box of wine, ($12.00) and much more gratifying. On that note, FTBC wine coloured nail polish is also available for a mere $4.00. This incredibly simple and powerful awareness campaign has raised over $1.5 million in Canada alone over the past 9 years. Since its launch, FTBC has become the worldwide fashion community’s sole and most successful response to breast cancer.

The target has been worn in the past by such fashion icons as Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Helena Christensen. Check out fashiontargets.ca to buy a shirt, and enter the “How do you wear it” contest for a chance to win a trip for 2 to fashion week in Toronto and a $500 Joe Fresh style gift card toward a shopping spree.
