WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 5
7:30pm. The Offspring @ Metropolis, 59 St-Catherine East. They are pretty fly for white guys (haaa), which is why your 90s self is slightly itching at the opportunity to see The Offspring live once more, as they promote their newest album ‘Days Go By’. Tickets are $49.20 and can be purchased here.
9pm. Ingrid Gratin + Twin Voices @ Quai des brumes, 4481 St-Denis. From Brandon, Manitoba harks songstress Ingrid Gratin, newly arrived (well, new-ishly arrived) on Montreal’s music scene. She will be accompanied by Montreal folk collective Twin Voices for a night of tunes at Quai des brumes, which incidentally serves a wicked sangria!

Art Tattoo Montreal @ Gare Windsor, 1160 de la Gauchetière West. If you’ve been meaning to get a tattoo for a while now, and you are possibly in search of the perfect tattoo artist, you are in luck! Each year, Art Tattoo Montreal brings dozens of extremely skilled artists to the city, from all over Canada, the United States, South America and Europe. Guests are even encouraged to contact artists ahead of time to book tattoo consultations and appointments to take place during the exhibition. Tickets are $15 for both Friday and Sunday, and $20 for Saturday. Opening hours are 6pm to midnight on Friday, 11am to 11pm on Saturday and 11am to 8pm on Sunday. The event will include art, seminars, live music and after-parties! Montrealers love all of those things, most ardently.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8 AND SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 9
6pm. The Unsettlers @ Quais de Vieux-Port de Montreal, facing the Bonsecours Market. As part of the 9th annual Les Escales Improbables de Montreal Festival, our favourite and very quirky (nay, just odd) band, The Unsettlers, will play two consecutive gigs in the Old Port. Be sure to check out the Escales Improbables program for more visual/musical/theatrical performances throughout the city until September 14, 2012. Free!
