It has recently come to my attention that many cool things on the Arts and Culture horizon are – gasp – all on the same day! Unfortunately at this time, I do not possess the technology to split myself into several parts so I can do it all, so I’m counting on you, people of Toronto, to check out all this cool shit! Pick your poison and have a ball! And good luck at work Friday morning…

Waiting for Ricky Tantrum by Jules Lewis. Book launch for an emerging local author who will be reading from his first novel, a semi-autobiographical account of growing up in Toronto’s west end Dufferin Grove neighbourhood where, ahem, I happen to have also grown up. Names have been changed, cue sigh of relief. If you grew up in Toronto or live here now, it’s sure to be an interesting read, and you’ll get a chance to meet the author and pick up a copy of the book! Hope I wasn’t rude to you when I was a kid! The Ossington Bar, 61 Ossington, north of Queen. No cover, 7-9pm
