There are some people with technology blogs that spend their time testing out new computers, gadgets and all the latest stuff. That’s not really me, nor is it my area of expertise but since I’m usually on the computer until my eyes start to sting, I feel as though I’m as good a judge as any. So, when Intel asked me to test out a Sony VAIO laptop with an Intel®  Core™ i5 processor and integrated Intel® Wireless Display Technology  I said, “For shizzle!”

What have I done on this shiny Hibiscus Pink laptop?

Webcam
Naturally, the first thing I did was to contort my face six hundred ways. I made it bulge, whirl, pinch and have fire flaming from it. I most enjoyed turning myself into a one eyed mirror ball. I have never felt more like a science experiment.

Following this, I Skyped my friend Lou in Vancouver and showed her, like a high school hoarder, all the things I got for Christmas. The webcam works well, A+.

Movie-watching
I loaded in a Planet Earth Blu-Ray Disc and took a very intimate HD journey into a cave of bat dung. The 14 inch LCD display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution provides a noticeably enhanced entertainment experience. Lying in bed watching the Oceanic episode, I felt as though my bed was a submarine and that I had plunged fifty feet deep to swim alongside dolphins. Woah, coooool.

I write a lot
As someone who needs to respond to a gazillion emails daily and also write fast and furious posts, it is important that I work on a keyboard that doesn’t make me want to fling it out the window. I like the Sony VAIO laptop as it is marked very clearly and has perfectly sized buttons that have just the right press/release quotient. (I just made that term up.) You know what I mean though right? Some keyboards stick and some are too slight. Well, Goldilocks, this is just right. Tap tap , click click, ta-da!

My Media
Everywhere I go, I snap photos. Sometimes it makes people not want to hang out with me.

My computer is loaded with pics and weird videos of kitchen dance parties and my dog. What I like about this VAIO is that it has a button on the top right that goes directly to a Media Gallery. It’s an easy and efficient way to locate all my stuff fast so that I can upload it, Facebook it, Tweet it – WHATEVER! Anything that eases the getting-things-online process gets serious bonus points. Time is money people!

Stronger. Faster. Harder.
No, that is not a “That’s what she said.” That, my friends, is the power of your new laptop. The Intel Core i5 processor makes this gadget run smoothly and with impressive speed, so you can stop getting angry and cursing at the tool you use most.

RAM 460
You know what sucks? When all of the sudden your laptop dies because you’ve loaded up too much stuff, it gets overwhelmed and just kills it all. Not with RAM 460! This 5lb skinny sexy gadget can store 8GB. Feed her.

Pretty.
What? This is important. The Sony VAIO we tried is a Hibiscus Pink but there is a range of bold colours that will have you getting noticed at your favourite brew spot. Iridescent Blue, Carribean Green, Passion Purple, Cocounut White or Gunmetal Black.

If you enter THIS AMAZING CONTEST, you could win it along with $4500 in other Intel prizes. O.M.G. Contest runs until Jan 7! Don’t mess this up. Enter!
