TCAF’s kids’ programming is always second-to-none, but this year they’re really upping the ante. Taking over the first floor of the Beeton Auditorium at the Toronto Reference Library (789 Yonge St) on May 11 & 12, the event will include author signings, crafts & drawing, drawing demos, presentations by authors, and even a panel discussion aimed at the younger set!

Highlights include a special presentation with HILO creator Judd Winnick, a Year of the Pig celebration with Howard Wong, Adrian Alphona and Joey Weiser, meet the creative minds behind the celebrated Princess in Black series, an exploration of imaginary worlds with Lorena Alvarez (Hicotea) and Chad Sell (Cardboard Kingdom), how to draw science with artists from the Science Comics series, and Queer + Trans Comics for kids, with the creators of great new comics that feature LGBTQ+ kids. For those obsessed with Marvel Comics’ hit Squirrel Girl, all of the creators from this comic series are going to be on a panel together taking place on Saturday from 12:15 to 1:15 at The Marriott Bloor Yorkville (90 Bloor St. E.).

PLUS: There’s a special bonus treat as KID KOALA and JONJON present FLOOR KIDS JAM, an ART X MUSIC X GAMES interactive event featuring their new game, Floor Kids! FREE.
