Since the beginning of time, women have been gathering in circles to share experiences, stories, thoughts, ideas and prayers. These spaces offer a deeply nourishing and gentle opportunity for women to use their voices and be seen.

On Thursday, July 25 at Oblong Yoga House, Movement as Medicine (Yoga, Psychology, Reiki with Rachael Fallon) invites those who identify as women to join together in meditation, writing and intuitive yoga.

Intuitive yoga is a process of learning how to use the body as a spiritual compass to enhance body-based consciousness. This class will explore deep visceral experiences through breath, somatic awareness, contemplative movement, and meditation. You’ll explore modalities from breath-work, creative asana, intuitive and authentic movement, play, eye-gazing, mirroring, dance, shaking medicine, dynamic meditation, sound healing, interception, and self-inquiry. The practice will close with meditation and free writing, opening up the circle to discuss visions, thoughts, and feelings.

This event takes place on July 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Oblong Yoga House (56 Stewart Street). Doors are 6:45 p.m. Workshop is from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Doors will be locked at 7:05 p.m.) The cost of this event is $30. Please book your space in advance through PayPal or e-transfer: fallonrachael@gmail.com. All ages welcome.

Workshops will also take place on August 29, October 24, and September 26.
