With almost half of 2025 behind us, it’s time to look ahead to the new content coming to our screens later this year and in early 2026. This week, CBC, Rogers Sports & Media, Bell Media and Corus Entertainment each announced their 2025/26 programming slates, sharing a fresh batch of new titles in addition to confirming the return of the series we already love.
Here are a few highlights from this week’s announcements that Canadian viewers should keep on their radar.

Heated Rivalry
The upcoming Crave Original Heated Rivalry will warm up the rinks with a steamy hockey romance. Based on the best-selling novel by Canadian author Rachel Reid, this six-part drama series tells the story of Shane and Ilya, rival hockey players who seem to be magnetically drawn to each other. What starts as a secret fling begins a years-long journey of love and self-discovery for the two rookies.
Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie will star in Heated Rivalry alongside Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Christina Chang, François Arnaud, Robbie GK, and Dylan Walsh.

Slo Pitch
We’re stoked to hear that the queer comedy series Slo Pitch will be coming to CTV and Crave. As part of a recent deal with Bell Media, Elliot Page’s PAGEBOY Productions will bring this show about the Brovaries, a loveable, underdog, queer softball team, to even more viewers.
The first two seasons of the series originally aired on OutTV, with a cast and crew of almost entirely women and non-binary Toronto talent, including Kirsten Rasmussen, Amanda Cordner, Aisha Evelyna and Chelsea Muirhead. Created by J Stevens, Karen Knox, and Gwenlyn Cumyn, the series will be developed for television by Katie Ford and Jane Cooper Ford.
The Assembly
A Canadian edition of this global sensation will be coming to CBC this fall. In each episode of The Assembly, a popular Canadian figure will face a group of 30 interviewers, all on the autism spectrum. This unique series promises refreshing honesty, authentic conversations, and lots of laughs. Confirmed guests on this season of The Assembly include Jann Arden, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Allan Hawco, and Howie Mandel, with more to be announced.
In the 2025/26 season, Corus will continue to bring original series from Peacock and Sky to Canadian viewers. Their new roster features some exciting offerings, including The Paper, a highly anticipated spinoff of The Office set at a historic Midwestern newspaper, the Keke Palmer-led dark comedy The Burbs, and the suburban thriller All Her Fault, starring Sarah Snook.
The highlight from Rogers’ programming announcement this week was The Price is Right Tonight, a Canadian original based on the iconic game show. Comedian Howie Mandel will host the series, set to air in Spring 2026. Other highlights include a new season of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, and Making of Wicked—a one-time special led by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo set to release in the fall.
In addition to the new titles announced this week, plenty of your favourite series are confirmed to return for new seasons! Here are some of the series we were thrilled to see renewed this week:
CBC: North of North, Small Achievable Goals, Wild Cards, For The Culture with Amanda Parris
Bell Media: SisterS, Acting Good, Sullivan’s Crossing, The Good Stuff with Mary Berg
