French import – as in, from France – The Keys (aka Boris Paillard) will release his seventh LP ‘Long Time No Sea’ this week at Le Divan Orange. Fabulously, he will be joined by one of our favourite Haligonians – Ben Caplan & The Casual Smokers, as well as Raleigh and Landon Coleman.

This unique two-day showcase of over 60 young, emerging Quebec artists will feature entertainment, exhibitions, artistic presentations and more! Visual arts, jewellery-making, photography, dance, sculpture, music and fashion will all be represented – well worth a visit for all aspiring local artists! Details here. 9pm. Il Motore’s Three-Year Anniversary with URockaoke @ Il Motore, 179 Jean-Talon West. Our little Il Motore is turning three: awwwww! To celebrate, join them for a Black Tie Affair, drink specials, prizes and of course, URockoake (live band karaoke = stressful, have a few drinks first). Pay-What-You-Can, suggested donation of $10.

Over 110 of Montreal’s craftiest artisans will be on hand for your holiday shopping pleasure, at this Old Skool Crafts Winter Fair. Visitors can expect a wide variety of original jewellery, photography, woodwork pieces, pottery, baked goods, as well as a variety of craft workshops. Canned food and gently used clothing donations are welcome! Free entry.
