7pm (Not-so-Local) Local Legends Reading Series @ Concordia Co-op Bookstore, 2150 Bishop. The 2nd edition of the Local Legends Reading Series at the ConU Co-op Bookstore , featuring a performance by Toronto writer Vivek Shraya. Vivek will be reading from his first book God Loves Hair – a collection of 20 short stories accompanied by illustrations from Toronto artist Juliana Neufeld. God Loves Hair was recently elected as a finalist in the 2011 Lambda Literary Awards.

6pm Dream Lab Photo Exhbit by Sarah Fuller @ Galerie Les Territoires, 372 rue Ste-Catherine O #527. Alberta artist Sarah Fuller presents Dream Lab, an interdisciplinary project that was explored in collaboration with the Dream and Nightmare Laboratory at the Sacred Heart hospital in Montreal. The resultant photographs will be on display at Les Territoires from Friday, October 14 to Saturday, October 29th, 2011. Vernissage: Thursday, October 13th at 6 pm.

6pm Michael Webb: Two Journeys @ Canadian Centre for Architecture, 1920, rue Baile. Michael Webb, CCA Senior Mellon Fellow, speaks on journeys in architecture. The lecture will be streamed live. Presented in English. Till 8pm.
