The 7th Annual Smut Soiree, presented by John Frieda,  hosted by Lainey Gossip, and co-hosted by Dan Levy at eco-friendly venue the Evergreen Brickworks, was essentially a girls’ dish fest on steroids. Calorie-free vitaminwater zero was never more then an arm’s reach away. For those of us lacking a guilty conscience, Bacardi mojitos were muddled up by models-turned- bartenders for the night.

Levy and Lainey always have some great celebrity dish, and dirty laundry is best served ruthless with a side of comfort food; grilled cheese and fries were on hand.

Lainey’s gossip symposium touched on a few hot topics with some insider tidbits. Johnny Depp vacationing in Colorado with Amber Heard plus girlfriend? Gotta say, the man’s midlife crisis is the masturbation fodder of 16-year-old boys everywhere. She also chronicled a few standard dishes, with a TO twist. Apparently John Travolta’s spa antics aren’t restricted to Hollywood masseuses, but with his hot oil appetite reaching the Granite men’s spa and Toronto YMCAs as well.

Event architects, The Society‘s Ashleigh Dempster and Amanda Blakley and White Bow Inc’s Martina Stritesky, ensured that primping stations were set up throughout the venue, including Ardell false lash applications, where make up artists applied falsies with impressive dexterity and speed. Next door was imPress press-on manicures from Broadway nails, where ladies could pick their favorite pattern for a (not so speedy) mani.

John Frieda set up shop to provide touch ups, blow outs, upside-down fishtails, and more, and Stila’s cosmetics team made sure girls had their war paint looking flawless.

Waxon waxing bar was  booked solid for the night, leaving a few impeccably dressed girls accessorizing with swollen red brows. Guests were pose-happy for the photogs on hand from H&M and Flare, who were looking for the finalist for the 2nd annual SMUT Style Award. The best-dressed party guest will take home a $2, 000 shopping spree from H&M, a personalized styling session with a Flare editor and Dan Levy, and customized hair treats from John Frieda.

Slinging the goss and sipping mojitos with the girls makes for a pretty great Monday. Special shout out to the handful of men, who were happy to indulge their inner busybody and knock back some ice cold Kronenbourg Blanc while grabbing an earful.
